Harris Named Chief Marketing and Customer Officer at Kellogg Company

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Alan F. Harris, Kellogg Company executive vice president and president, Kellogg International, has been named chief marketing and customer officer, Kellogg Company, effective Oct. 1. He will continue in his role as executive vice president, Kellogg Company.

This newly-created position is aimed at maximizing the creation and sharing of ideas and resources across the Kellogg portfolio, with Harris responsible for global marketing, sales, nutrition, innovation and business development functions. He will also continue to lead Kellogg's Australia/Asia operations. In both roles, he will report to David Mackay, president and chief operating officer.

"We have an opportunity to drive and integrate our commercial activities across categories and countries around the world," said Carlos M. Gutierrez, Kellogg Company chairman and chief executive officer. "This new function led by Alan will help continue to drive business momentum."

"I can't think of a better person for this position than Alan Harris," said Mackay. "He has achieved an impressive record of success in marketing and management positions during nearly 20 years with Kellogg."

Harris, a native of Wolverhampton, England, joined Kellogg in 1984. He has served as president of Kellogg Canada, Kellogg Latin America and Kellogg Europe. He has also served as president, sales and marketing for Kellogg USA.
