My Total Health 5k Brings Together More than 1,000 employees

In June 2022, Kellogg held its third-annual Global My Total Health 5k, which challenges employees to run or walk a 5k or complete an activity of similar effort within their ability.

Employees participated in ways that were most enjoyable for them – solo, with friends, family, pets or coworkers.

The event, which Chairman and CEO Steve Cahillane sponsors, brought together 1,185 participants from around the world in the spirit of wellbeing. Kellogg Company Fund donated $10 (USD) per participant to the Global Food Banking Network and met its goal of a $10,000 total donation, working towards our ambitious goals of creating better days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030.

My Total Health is our company’s holistic wellbeing framework that helps employees on their journey to being financially sound, emotionally secure, physically well and socially connected.

“I love participating in any physical challenge. The 5K was not only fun, but you feel like a part of a team when you know other company employees share a common interest and goal,” says Di Phillips, Territory Manager in Australia. “Employee wellbeing is so important in not only keeping employees aware of their overall health, but it’s also about their mental health. Having company challenges such as the 5K walk/run bring people together, build camaraderie and encourages people who don’t normally exercise on a daily basis to go out and find that extra 15-30 minutes.”
