Kellogg's Food Away From Home Division to Sell Rothbury Farms Croutons

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Oct 7, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) announced today that its Food Away From Home Division (KFAFH) and Roskam Baking have entered into a strategic alliance. The alliance, effective January 2003, provides KFAFH with an opportunity to grow incremental sales by including the exclusive rights to sell, market, and distribute the Rothbury Farms Crouton line in the foodservice marketplace.

The partnership leverages the baking efficiencies of Roskam Baking combined with the sales, marketing and distribution efficiencies of KFAFH within the foodservice marketplace. Roskam's Rothbury line of croutons is recognized as extremely high quality and an excellent reputation with over 25 years of sales in the foodservice marketplace.

According to David Pfanzelter, President, Kellogg's Food Away From Home Division, "This alliance further strengthens our commitment to meeting our customers' needs in grain based foods as well as their desire for one-stop shopping solutions within this category."

Kellogg will market the complete line of Rothbury croutons to include Rothbury Farms Classic Seasoned, Homestyle Seasoned, Homestyle Buttery Garlic, Homestyle Cheese Garlic along with individual packages of Classic Seasoned and Buttery Garlic. The alliance will also be utilized to fill specific product needs for selected distributor and operator customers.
