Kellogg Company Board of Directors Elects Montie Senior Vice President

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Aug 14, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Kellogg Company's Board of Directors has elected Jeffrey W. Montie as a senior vice president, effective immediately. The 15-year Kellogg employee is president of the company's Kellogg USA Morning Foods Division.

Montie, 41, began his Kellogg career as a brand manager in the ready-to- eat cereal (RTEC) business. He has also held assignments in Canada, South Africa and Germany, and was vice president, global innovation for Kellogg Europe.

He was promoted to vice president and general manager, RTEC in 1999, senior vice president, RTEC in 2000 and to his current position later that year. Montie was recently named to the company's executive management committee.

A Cleveland, Ohio, native, Montie has a bachelor's degree in business from Cedarville College in Ohio and received an MBA from The Ohio State University.
