KELLOGG COMPANY DONATIONS TO HURRICANE RELIEF TOP $1 MILLION

Kellogg Company has contributed more than $1 million to relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This total includes both monetary and product donations.

To date, 50 semi-trailers of product have been donated to America’s Second Harvest. Items donated include Kellogg’s cereal, Nutri-Grain® Bars and snacks. In addition, Kellogg’s Corporate Citizenship Fund (KCCF), the charitable arm of Kellogg, made a monetary donation to America’s Second Harvest to assist with distribution efforts. America’s Second Harvest is working with the American Red Cross to distribute products in affected areas. KCCF is also matching worldwide employee contributions to America’s Second Harvest and the American Red Cross.

“There is a lot of work ahead for those affected by the hurricanes,” said Tim Knowlton, vice president – corporate social responsibility. “I am proud that Kellogg Company and Kellogg people have joined so many others to help.”
