In the Pink: Kellogg Adds Strawberry to its Frosted Mini-Wheats Line

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg Company (NYSE:K) is extending its Frosted Mini-Wheats line with the introduction of a new Strawberry Delight flavor. Available in stores nationwide, each whole grain biscuit features strawberry "crunchlets," with the fresh taste of strawberries baked into every bite.

Like all of the Frosted Mini-Wheats line, new Strawberry Delight is an good source of ten essential vitamins and minerals, is low in fat and high in fiber. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average American adult only consumes about half the recommended daily requirement of fiber — which may help reduce the risks of colon cancer, heart disease and Type-2 diabetes. A single serving of Frosted Mini-Wheats Strawberry Delight contains 20 percent of consumers' daily fiber needs.

"For years the scientific community has recommended we all include more fiber in our diet. Despite this, nine out of 10 Americans are still not getting the recommended amount," said Jill Saletta, director, communications at Kellogg Company. "Adding a bowl of Frosted Mini-Wheats to your diet is a simple way to help increase fiber intake, and new Strawberry Delight provides another convenient way to do that."

With the addition of Kellogg's Frosted Mini-Wheats Strawberry Delight, there are now five great-tasting versions to choose from, including Frosted Mini-Wheats, Bite Size Frosted Mini-Wheats, Frosted Mini-Wheats Maple Brown Sugar and Frosted Mini-Wheats Vanilla Crème. The new flavor has a suggested retail price of $3.49 for a 16.3-ounce box.
