Kellogg Company Names Wittenberg as Corporate Vice President, Treasury and Investor Relations

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) announced today that Joel R. Wittenberg has been promoted to corporate vice president, Treasury and Investor Relations, effective immediately.

In addition to his previous responsibilities overseeing treasury, Wittenberg will now lead Kellogg's Investor Relations team, serving as the company's primary contact with institutional investors, investment analysts and brokers. He will continue to report to John Bryant, chief financial officer. Simon Burton, who previously led the Investor Relations group, will transition into a strategic finance role for the Snacks business unit.

Wittenberg was named vice president and treasurer, Kellogg Company in October 2001. He joined the company in September 2000 as assistant treasurer, with more than 15 years experience in global treasury, financial and commodity risk management, and pension functions. Prior to joining Kellogg Company, he held several key treasury roles with The Dow Chemical Company and with Armstrong World Industries, where he was vice president and treasurer.

Wittenberg holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University and a MBA in finance from the University of Michigan.
